Thunderhead IPA
While Pyramid isn't the most illustrious beer company, it is usually above average, except for their IPA...
Which currently is one of my favorite India Pale Ales around... it's fun to drink, and doesn't cost very much compared to some 6 packs (I spent like 11 bucks on a 6 pack of Lagunitas Censored a couple of times this month, maybe that's why I'm broke).
First off, IPA is not really my favorite type of beer, but I do like it from time to time to change things up, and ThunderHead does not disappoint. This destroys Sierra Nevada, which costs about the same as this stuff. ThunderHead packs a big, hoppy punch, and doesn't leave too much aftertaste. Yet, it's smooth and complex at the same time.
Considering ThunderHead IPA is only 8 bucks a 6 pack (at least, where I live), I have to wholeheartedly recommend this when in the mood for an IPA that is reasonably priced. Caution: not for the faint of hop.
