A Delirium Noel

This is some very sweet beer. Very high alcohol too. While not as great as other Delirium Tremens, I do think this is a rather festive beer that should be imbued... if you can't find any cheaper alternatives or more interesting alternatives. I'm sort of at a loss on how to describe this beer, other than it reminds me of candy canes and sweet, alcoholic marshmallows while getting you well on your way to the proverbial drunk tank after just one bottle (10% alcohol!). This beer gets a B+ to a B- over at beeradvocate.com, and I tend to lean towards the B- here. The only stronger/sweeter holiday beer that I've tried is called Samichlaus.... which is an unbelievable 14% alcohol, and almost undrinkably sweet. So Delirium Noel is a nice compromise, at least you won't be drinking the most over-the-top holiday beer, but you'll get a taste of the sweetness of the season.
